Two days ago, we did some demos for 9 new songs that will be coming out on a new full length next year on Count Your Lucky Stars. We’ve been layin low on playing shows lately, preparing for our UK tour with Empire! Empire! and trying to finish up writing these new songs. These new songs are about all the friends that we’ve met doing this band and the ones we’ve known forever, who have helped us in so many ways to keep this band and us personally alive.

We are very excited to show everyone what we have been working on! It feels like it’s been forever since we’ve had some new material and we are stoked to finally release a full length!!! The finalized UK tour dates w/ E!E! are below:

Hey everyone! Due to, well, a lot of things, Justin Watkins is no longer with us. We wish him well with his future musical endeavors, though! Don’t worry, Relationships is still together and going strong. We have a show next week opening up for Algernon (Thursday August 2nd), and we’re in the process of revamping our set/writing new material so you won’t want to miss the Algernon show at the good ol’ 222 in Pittsburgh next Thursday.

Also, along with stickers, buttons, cassettes, and CDs, we now have shirts (and a cat). We hope to see you soon!

I’m a sucker for the handmade DIY record packaging. I know the work that goes into screen printing an assembling hundreds of records by hand. It’s a different level of dedication that goes beyond money and its when things become all about the music. Already Dead Tapes have over 40 releases to their name but Forget the Times lp “Soul Music” is the first foray into the world of vinyl for the label. At 300 copies all hand screened it is an impressive looking affair. So how is the music you ask…Well it is pretty great. Noisy, free improvisation leaning towards psych at all the right times. It is surely for adventurous listeners who can handle raw and uncompromising music. The guitar work is fantastic going from lonesome drones to spastic psychedelia and the drumming is fresh and ever changing. It’s a rewarding listen that will stand the test of time better than most records of its class.

Prepping for tour; this is what it looks like.

The past few weeks have been the craziest of my life, but they have been fun. Through it all, I’ve been reminded that this is not just about putting a bunch of kids in a room to watch music. What we have is much more important than that, and it’s community. We are all in this for the same reasons, and no one should be excluded because of who they are, how they dress, or what kind of music they listen to. These are your friends and they stretch worldwide, if we don’t make an effort to maintain what we have it will be lost. Believe me, I’ve seen it happen. Don’t be a dick, respect yourself, respect the people around you, and respect the spaces that are offered up for these shows. We are excited to finally get out on the road and rage with all of you, but please keep in mind that this should be a positive enviroment for everyone.

Firstly, we now have cassettes (split with Dads Makin’ Out), stickers, and buttons. Hopefully soon we’ll have a bigcartel up and running for those of you who don’t see us very often.

Secondly, we’re recording again at the end of the month with our good friend, Jake Lexso, and hopefully around September we’ll be releasing a split cassette with our friends from George Costanza.

And lastly, we’re playing two shows this week and one next week with William Bonney so we’d better see everyone that lives in the Pittsbugh area. EVERYONE!
